“When I’m out there riding my bike, away from cars and the noise of the city, breathing, while moving along with the curves of the landscape, I’m at my best. Maybe it's cliché, but I don't care, this is where I feel at home.”

Athlete and artist.

Quinda Verheul is an ultra distance cyclist, who loves a good challenge. Her luxury item would be her camera, while racing and riding events she captures the surroundings. No other place brings her this calm and connection to the environment. “When otherwise are you encountering a horse on a mountain in the middle of the night?”

Her studio is based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, she creates contemporary installations, sculptures and 2d works with raw materials such as sand, concrete and rocks. Her inspiration is found in the landscapes she experienced intensely during her races and adventures. She is fascinated with the changing environment and invisible industrie that impacts the landscape drastically.
